Margaret Ellis Jewelry Selected As Featured Artist at Artclectic 2015
Margaret Ellis Jewelry is thrilled to announce that we have been invited to make our debut appearance at Artclectic 2015. Artclectic will showcase a diverse assortment of fifty-seven juried artists in a lively gallery setting at University School of Nashville October 22 - 24. Thousands of visitors will gather to explore the work of emerging and established artists from throughout the country. Proceeds benefit USN's Artclectic Endowment Fund for Innovative Teaching.
Mclaine is a 2004 USN alumni and proud member of the 13-year club, attending the school kindergarten through 12th grade. Mclaine said "USN will always hold a special place in my heart. I credit USN for the encouragement and preparation that I needed to embrace being both an artist and a business owner. I'm really excited to be part of an event that I've loved since 5th grade! Artclectic is not only a great opportunity to showcase my work but also allows me to give back to the people that poured into my life for so many years. I look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones alike. "
The 19th annual art-filled weekend includes events for USN families, students, alumni and the Nashville community. Artclectic opens on Thursday night with the Patron's Party, a ticketed event offering the opportunity to be among the first to view and purchase art. The Friday night ArtBashCommunity Party is open to the public for $10 and free to USN alumni. No RSVP is required for a fun evening of art, music and light bites. The gallery is open to the public from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Saturday at no charge. The show also provides valuable art education for University School of Nashville students and the Nashville community through such enriching experiences as demonstrations, class tours and hands-on workshops.
Artclectic 2015 artist applicants were juried by Susannah Scott-Barnes, owner of Ash Blue; artist Susan Striepe; Tim Ozgener, CEO of Oz Arts Nashville; and art collector Betsy Wills. Ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, graphics & printmaking, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography and sculpture will share the beautifully transformed gym turned gallery space.
